The washcloths are my own design, but greatly inspired by the faboulous designer KrisKnits. I have also chosen to copy her way of explaining the pattern, thank you Kris!
Use e.g. cotton yarn that can handle a good wash in the machine. I use about 75 g of yarn for one washcloth.
Use 1/2 size smaller knitted than recommended on the yarn. This makes the pattern show better.
Sl 1 means that you should not knit the first stich, only slip it on the other pin. See picture below.
Cast on 90 stiches.
Frame:
Frame row 1: Sl 1, (k1,p1) to last stitch, k1.
Frame row 2: Sl 1, (p1,k1) to last stich, k1.
Repeat these 2 Frame rows 3 more times.
Repeat these 2 Frame rows 3 more times.
Section A:
Row 1: Sl 1, (k1,p1)x2, (k5,p5)x8, (k1,p1)x2, k1.
Row 2: Sl 1, (p1,k1)x2, (k5,p5)x8, (k1,p1)x2, k1.
Repeat section A 2 more times.
Section B:
Row 3: Sl 1,(k1,p1)x2, (p5,k5)x8, (p1,k1)x2, k1.
Rows 4:Sl 1,(p1,k1)x2, (p5,k5)x8, (p1,k1)x2, k1.
Repeat section B 2 more times.
Reapeat Section A and B 9 more times.
Repeat Frame once. Cast off on last row.
Use a crochet hook to make the hoops. (I make 2 in each cloth)
Good luck from Mona at http://www.mosunbi.blogspot.com/

Flott gave! Nydelige farger på vaskeklutene du har laget. Er helt fan av hjemmestrikkede vaskekluter - har alle regnbuens farger på hytta! :-) Og et veldig fint sommer-håndarbeid er det også..
