The 1863 Jane A. Stickle quilt is a very facsinating sampler quilt. It is described in a book by Linda Manges Papadakis.

Sorry Jane
I lost my inspiration to work on my Dear Jane quilt. I guess I need more instructions on the techniques that can be used to enjoy making the blocks, too much frustration. So I put the few finished blocks (that I of course still think is beautiful) together as a small wall hanging. Ended up with no frame. It looks good (brave color combo!), but is not one of my most successful projects.

Norwegian Quilt Show 2010
Since my Bernina is not cooperating at the moment, there are no finishes to report, so I blog some quilts from the quilt show I attended with my "A Lovely Foursome" quilt.
The amazing work of Yoko Saito made me speachless.
"Kvinne-arven" (Heritage of Women) by Tone Storhaug was amazing. It was assembeld of pieces of old table cloths and embroideries. There was also a book describing the history of the women that contributed with cloths.
The quilt was voted the best in show by the audience, and will be part of the "Festival of Quilts" in England.
No quilt show without a Dear Jane quilt! This one is called "Jane having the blues" and is made by Berit Hansen Gilde.

My Baby Jane
I recently participated in a Dear Jane class with Hanne. Very inspirational to learn some new techniques!

But I do not know if I will make all the blocks or only some of them. It will be an in between project. Do not know if I shall add more colors or not. It will come to me..... Feel free to comment and make suggestions!
