Happy New Year!

Wanted to show you some hats that I made as christmas presents. For my mom, "Anne's Flower", I used Juvel yarn and knitting needles 2.5. I used the privisional cast-on method, worked very well.

For my sister's daughter, Rauma Cable Hat:

I also made another a pair of felted slippers for my uncle, but I forgot to take a picture:-(

I have finished all the christmas present blocks for Kate Spain's All a Flurry. Should I take out the red block?
I made this angel many years ago, it was on display at moms. Whish I remembered were I found the pattern, very cute. Thinking of making one larger one (this one is only 4cm high!)

Wish you all a Happy Crafty New Year!

Happy New Year!

Whishing all of you a Happy New Year with some pictures:
My town Kongsberg by night (Picture taken by Jannicke)
My deers, that live around my house. I love to watch them!

Me on the slopes today. This was a personal victory. Haven't been able to do downhill skiing for some years due to weight problems. In 2010 I have taken off 27 pounds.

We have just remodelled our bedroom. In the picture above, I have knitted Julekuler, with yarn: Brazilia Lame by Schachenmayr (idea and purchase from local yarn store Ullrik). They look like snowballs!
I feel tired.....

My favorite christmas apron

This is my favourite christmas apron. It is sewn by my mother-in-law C. The fabric was from Sandvika Veveri, and the pattern was from a norwegian magazine, can not remember which one any more. I have also finished knitting another cable hat for a princess.

Vacation 2009, Part 1 Wisconsin

The first part of my summer vacation I spent with my in-law family in Wisconsin, and also visited Illinois and Minnesota (where I spent my student years a looong time ago).

I also spent some time on the freeways to visit many quilt shops. I have purchased fabrics for several projects, and have inspiration for my own design of the year. I also purchased quilt books an novels to last a while. I am all set for those long fall and winter nights.

I always have to take picture of beautiful flowers that comes in my way.
