Modern Table Topper

Quite different than my normal quilts is this table runner. I enjoyed being outside my comfort zone.
The table topper is a variant of a pattern in Quiltemagasinet #2 2013; "Buede former" by AnnAKa.
To cut the curves, "The Quick Curve Ruler" was used. The quilting was inspired by Quilt Matters. It was fun to do, but the table topper was slightly bulky around the edges after quilting. The fabric and ruler was purchased at Meretes Atelier in Grimstad, Norway. The main prints are from Kaffe Fassett Studio. The water bottles are from Crate & Barrel.
This makes three finishes in three weeks, how I am going to keep this up?

Spring Baby Sleepers

 The sleepers are made from
  • fleece blanket (2 layers)
  • bed sheets
  • zipper
The first sleeper fits a new baby, the second one maybe up to a 9 mo or until the baby starts sitting up in the carrige. The sleepers are now on the way to a new mom, will be exiting if she thinks they works for her needs. If anybody is interested in a approx measurements and more pictures on how I put the sleepers together, let me know!

I have also finished a table cloth. This cat garden fabric was a present from my son. Did not have the heart to cut into it, so I folded up the edges, and will use it as a table cloth. Maybe use it for our garden table this summer?

Tulip Table Cloth

I am very happy with this table cloth! My quilting mojo is low, but beautiful tulips in my garden inspired me! The paper-pieced block pattern made by A Quiling Jewel was a part of the Garden Party Blog Hop at Sew Hooked. Love it, thank you for sharing the pattern!

I spent the weekend at Norefjell Spa & Resort, a lovely stay. I love the interior design on this norwegian mountain resort! You can find more pictures from my previous stay here.

A Fall Feeling!

I got a fall feeling today, the leaves on the birch trees in my garden is turning yellow. While waiting for my hubbie finishing the Birkebeiner race (The world largest off road bike race) yesterday, I got very cold and wet and muddy.
I have now started to light candles on the fireplace every night too. The fall  feeling is here!

I have finished two table cloths. The fabric; "Gold trimmed Leaves on Cream" was so beautiful that I did not want to cut into it at all.  The fabric was purchases at Hancocks Fabric in Woodbury (St.Paul), Minnesota.
