I was searching for manuals on how to thread my old sewing machine. I did not find any manuals, but I found that it was made in 1913! My grandmother must have inherited it too!
I first received a manual for my machine from an earlier colleage of mine; http://knitnetty.blogspot.com/.
Then today I got several links from Dorothy to manuals: Free manuals is here : http://needlebar.org/manuals/Singer28.pdf If the link doesn't work you can join this group to get it http://needlebar.org/
Or you can get a slightly later one here: http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/manuals/index.html Your machine is a Singer 27 or 28 (I think 28 - it is smaller than the 27), but the 127/128 manual will be almost the same.
