Wow, that is a very good book!
I read the first three books in the Elm Creek Quilt Novels, and was not sure if I wanted to read another one.
Then someone in blogland recommended to go to the seventh book, and I did and do not regret!
The book is well written with beautiful language.
The main character is a strong woman in the pre-civil war era, helping slaves on their way to freedom.
The book is somewhat predictable in a comforting manner.
